The Conference on Language, Identity, and Culture, a biannual series of presentations, poems, and posters presented by multilingual first-year students at Boise State University, aims to highlight the strengths that speakers of multiple languages have as they help Boise State become a globally connected academic community. The Conference will be held on Tuesday, April 12, from 3:00-4:15 p.m. (Bishop Barnwell Room, Student Union Building) and Wednesday, April 13, from 1:30-2:45 p.m. (Bishop Barnwell).

All events are free and all are welcome, especially potentially college-bound students. There will be different presentations on each day and participants may attend on either or both days. Additionally, as a new tradition, the Boise State Refugee Alliance will be sponsoring a reception for prospective and current Boise State students who came to the U.S. as refugees (they will also welcome refugee advocates). The reception will take place on Tuesday, April 12, from 4:45-5:15 p.m. (Bishop Barnwell).  For event details and a map of BSU, click here. We hope to see you there!
